The average family has more than eight children. Men have affairs and produce many illegitimate children of whom they bring home to official wives to take care. 

Men are also polygamous, meaning a big number has more than one wife and each wife wants to produce many children to gain favor from the man. In the end, families have children they cannot take care of, cannot give children education which exposes the children to child labor and prostitution and thus increased rate of sexuality transmitted diseases like HIV and other STDs
